A race of bipedal reptilian creatures, descended from Dragons. Other theories have them as prototype dragons that are capable of ascending to a full dragon nature through many lifetime of "Right Living". They are immortal and difficult to communicate with for most other races. They seem to act in contradictory or insane ways.

• When a dragonewt is killed, he is reborn in an egg in a dragonewt city.
• If a dragonewt's spiritual development is sufficient, it may be reborn as a more advanced dragonewt.
• Four stages are known: Crested Dragonewts, Beaked Dragonewts, Tailed Priests and Full Priests.

• Their philosophical training allow them to learn a variety of Dragon Magic arts.
• However using magic retards their spiritual progression.
